The Recycled Leather Project

   Over the years, I used leather in a variety of ways, but more than while I was riding horses back east. Saddles, bridles, chaps, the whole nine yards, I was a leather consumer. Now that I am older, I can use the use of that type of leather in different ways. So as a maker of leather goods, I'm not looking to use leather in different ways. Like with clothing, furniture or even construction goods, leather too can be recycled. Or as some might say, up-cycled. 

In my case I have been tapping into my horse past and loitering at horse barns trying to find leather that has the need for a new life. Taking what I have used, I even started to dismantle my Jumper Saddle I used while working on the circuit about 20 years ago. Sacrilagesome might say, but I'm here to try to put that saddle to good use now that I'm not riding.

   Currently available are leashes and key chains, even purse straps are being integrated into my product lines, all made of leather once used with horses. From halters and reins to leashes and bags, using leather from one thing for another has been a creative venture for me. I'm looking forward to making different goods from once used horse items to one of a kind accessories for people or dogs.
